QFES Lesson Program The
main focus at Quakerfield is our extremely comprehensive lesson program.
We offer lessons for children as young as three years old to
adults. Whether you are just
beginning to learn to ride or have experience, we have a program that will
fit your goals. Teaching
safety and horsemanship in conjunction with riding is our main
priority. We set goals for our riders based on their desires, whether
they may want to ride competitively or for pleasure. Most of our students are placed into
one-hour group lessons; we also offer private lessons for those who wish to
learn one-on-one with their instructor.
Many students may wish to take more than one lesson a week and this is
something that we are more than willing to accommodate. Beginner
students will not only learn how to ride the horses, but learn how to be
around them safely and properly.
In the first few lessons students can expect to learn how to lead a
horse correctly, groom, and tack up their horse with the proper equipment
necessary to ride. We do provide
safety helmets that are required to ride. We also require all of our students to ride in a boot with
a low heel. Please ask your
instructor if you have any questions. QFES
has several instructors offering a high level of flexibility for scheduling
needs and a variety of gentle, safe horses. Please see our Staff page for a short biography of each
instructor. Private 30 minute
lesson $30.00 Private 60 minute
lesson $45.00 Group lessons
(1
hour) $35.00 QFES Lease Program Many of
our students choose the option to lease our horses. This is something that is encouraged; it allows students
to see what it is like to bond with a horse without actually owning one. Students who lease are able to ride a
few days a week in a non-lesson setting. If leasing is something that may sound of interest to you
please speak with your instructor and they will be able to provide you with
more information. |
